If you’re craving for that stuffed homemade fishball then you will love this simple and easy recipe.
Ingredients:
1 canned tuna
1 onion, minced
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 stalks spring onion, minced
1 carrot, minced
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tbsp baking powder
1 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup water
Salt and Pepper
Cooking Oil
Fishball Mixture:
1. In a bowl, add the canned tuna including its oil. Using a spatula, press the tuna firmly to even out its size.
2. Add the onions, garlic, spring onion, carrots, garlic powder and baking powder. Season with salt and pepper and mixed thoroughly.
3. Add the All Purpose Flour and gradually add water as you mix the fishball mixture. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Cooking the fishball:
1. Heat cooking oil in a pan. Form little fishballs and deep fry them until golden brown. Repeat this step for all the fishballs you formed.
Fishball Sauce Ingredients:
2 cups water
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 onion, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 pcs chili, minced (add more if you want it spicy)
2 tbsp lemon / kalamansi juice
Salt and pepper
Making the fishball sauce:
1. On a pot, add water and brown sugar. Mix them thoroughly.
2. Add soy sauce then cornstarch and continue to mix.
3. Add onions, garlic, chili, lemon juice and salt and pepper.
4. Continue to mix the sauce in low fire until the sauce thickens.
Serve and enjoy!
