Pork Sinigang is one of the favorite soup dish in every Filipino home. Since living in the UAE introduces you to new cuisines, you'd still get that home-cooked meal cravings such as Pork Sinigang.
Ingredients:
¼ Pork Belly, sliced (marinated with salt and pepper)
1 medium onion, sliced
1 tomato, slices
2 pcs Taro, peeled and sliced
5 pcs string beans, sliced
Kangkong leaves or Pechay
1 sachet Sinigang na may Gabi
2 tbsp patis
3 pcs siling labuyo
Pepper Flakes
Salt and Pepper
4 cups water
Cooking Instructions:
1. On a wok, boil about 3-4 cups of water. Once it starts boiling, add the onion and tomato. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
2. Add the pork belly and simmer for 20 minutes.
3. Add Taro and continue simmer for 15 minutes.
4. Add the sinigang mix, fish sauce, pepper and pepper flakes. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes.
5. Add the chilli and string beans and simmer for 7 minutes.
6. Add the kangkong leaves and cook for 2 minutes.
7. Serve hot and enjoy!
Serves 2 persons.
